Who I Am.

Zakiya Mohamed

On paper I'm a technical consultant, a personal trainer, and a nutrition coach. Off paper, I'm really just someone who enjoys chewing through the complicated stuff so you don't have to.

Statistics was always something I excelled at, and that naturally led me toward data science. Lucky timing too, I graduated just as AI was about to change everything. Fitness began during COVID out of sheer boredom, and honestly that's the best way it could have started. My mother and I ended up running a private studio in KL together, which was one of the best things I've ever done. Nutrition came last, more recently, and completed something I didn't know was missing.

Sounds like three completely separate lives, I know. To me they've never really felt that way. Each one makes me better at the other two, and I think that's the whole point.

How I Think.

You don't find balance, you build it.

Balance isn't something to arrive at and keep. It's something to continue building, then rebuilding, every time life changes shape.

Want things, and discipline will follow.

When the desire is real, discipline follows naturally, and that discipline is what builds consistency over time. Stop chasing motivation, just keep wanting things.

It's never 50/50, and it doesn't need to be.

Some weeks it's 50/50 between work, training, and food. Other weeks it's 60/40, or worse. Depends what's going on. Doesn't mean I'm off track, just means the shape changed.

Don't confuse blame with accountability.

I drop the ball sometimes, after all, I'm human. Blaming myself makes the next day worse, taking accountability is what gets me to show up again.

You can't spell shortcut without short.

The word gives it away. Short on time, short on learning, short on results that actually last. Take the shortcut if you want, just know everything else gets cut short too.

If any of this resonates,
I'd love to hear from you!
